Kill Them With Kindness by Aubrey Davis
Sculpture 2012
Wine bottles, wire, borax, water, amour etch, pipe cleaners.
This sculpture is a self portrait. I grew crystals (or attempted to) in each bottle. I experimented with multiple different formulas and the Borax/water solution seemed to work out the best. I formed little spheres out of pipe cleaners and suspended them by wires hooked to the rim of the bottle. I then etched the title “kill them with kindness” on 5 out of the 16 bottles.
